**How do I add an AI chatbot to my Discord server?**
Build a bot in Chat Thing from your docs, create an application in the Discord developer portal, paste its ID and credentials into the bot's Discord channel settings, then click Add to Discord and choose your server. The setup guide walks through every field.
**Which plans include the Discord channel?**

**Will the bot reply to every message in my server?**
No. It only replies when someone @mentions it, uses its slash command or sends it a direct message, so it never talks over your members.
**Can it understand the conversation it's mentioned in?**
Yes. When it's @mentioned, it reads the most recent messages in that channel (you choose 0 to 20, default 10) and the message being replied to, so it can answer follow-ups. For older or cross-channel history, add the Discord Get Channel History power-up.
**Where does it get its answers from?**
From the content you give it: your website, help docs, Notion pages and uploaded files. It doesn't go on the web unless you add a power-up that lets it search. Where your content says nothing it can fall back on the AI model's general knowledge, unless its prompt tells it to answer only from your content.
**Can I choose which AI model it uses?**

**Is my server's data used to train AI models?**
